Formal portraits at a wedding are hard… and good. Trying to find aunt sally, or grandpa bill, can sometimes get interesting. It’s a bit difficult to get everyone smiling at the same time, not to mention looking in the same direction!
The portraits are usually the hardest part of the day for a photographer. During formal portraits, being quiet and reserved isn’t going to get people’s attention. But, that’s good. Because I usually end up having fun, and I think everyone else has a good time too. Besides, that’s the only time I get to pull out really corny jokes, and try to get a whole group of people to laugh together at my expense!
